Michael Taylor - Representative for Evil Monsanto Scary Stealth Pick for USDA
Pay Attention to the seemingly less important Presidential Appointments. In the end Obama will be intimately involved in the details of our Foreign Policy and getting the economy started. So those appointees will be carrying out his specific will. But the picks for lower more technical positions are where we really must be vigilant. I doubt Obama will be working closely on the intricacies of seed policy, factory farming or the difference between real Organic and USDA approved Organic. But these issues are just as important if not more important. USDA oversees everything we put into our body. We are getting a representative of company I would say is the most evil in the world. Yes, even more so that Halliburton and Exxon, and that is saying something. Michael Taylor, Esq. is a Washington D.C. attorney who once represented Monsanto. In that regard, he replaced Clarence Thomas. Taylor also used his powerful connections to be named as an FDA and USDA undersecretary, where he wrote the guidelines for the "future" approval of genetically engineered organisms, thereby serving his true master, Monsanto. Michael Taylor is Tipper Gore's first cousin.Taylor has not been appointed... but we must look out for similar corporate hacks who will be in charge of much of the agencies not in Obama's immediate policy agenda. Often he will get up and call them smart and experienced. Both could be said of Dick Cheney and nearly everyone appointed by the Bush Administration. What experience and where did they use their intelligence is the real question. So far we have much to worry about Obama appointees.
