More Republican Corruption

These cases are even more insidious because these Republicans are trying to get away with being corrupt.

Today’s Republicans are corrupt. They put personal gain over even their own supposed values.

Its time someone points this out. ONE Democrat has been caught in corruption, and because he is Black the police even did THAT investigation illegally. (I mean even Black Congressman cannot get the police to follow the law when prosecuting them)

All these other people being caught are Republicans. Its disgusting and more needs to be said about it. These people ARE CORRUPT.

The only thing I have to ask Republicans is simple… WHY DO YOU HATE AMERICA?

Because if they cared, they would not act this way.

Sen. Conrad Burns (R-Mont.):
HELENA - U.S. Sen. Conrad Burns, R-Mont., met with a Marianas official who had close ties to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff in the weeks before Burns received an Abramoff-related $5,000 contribution from the Marianas and reversed his earlier position on a bill about the islands.

The Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands is a U.S. territory near Guam. Citizens there are U.S. citizens, although the island is exempt from many U.S. standards, including minimum wage.

Burns voted against a bill in May 2001 that would have strengthened U.S. oversight over the commonwealth's labor and immigration laws. A little more than a year before Burns had not opposed an identical measure.

Burns has said the $5,000 donation from an Abramoff client had nothing to do with his 2001 change in stance on the bill.

Initially, Burns said he didn't know why he changed his position on the bill.

Campaign finance records and reports in Pacific Magazine show Fitial is a former executive of Tan Holdings. Eloy Inos, another Tan Holdings executive, donated $5,000 to Burns' Friends of the Big Sky on April 20, 2001, a little more than two weeks after Fitial's meeting with the senator.

Inos' check was among $12,000 Burns collected from Abramoff, his clients and associates in the weeks before the vote.
This was by far the most insidious because innocent women on the Marianas Islands were forced into prostitution and forced abortions, kept as slave labor all while their products said made in America.

How a Republican could stand by and take money to support the status quo for this island while they received report after report of subhuman treatment of its citizens, I just don't know how they sleep.

Burns Belongs in jail.

As does this next idiot.

Sen. Ted Stevens and Don Young:
Sen. Ted Stevens (R-AK) had his home " and news reports also have linked Rep. Don Young (R-AK) to the public corruption probe, raising questions about the future of two men who have served Alaska for more than three decades." Stevens's investigation involves his efforts to to an oil company executive who also helped of Stevens's home. Young is also being investigated for his ties to the oil company, but his troubles extend even further and involve he has done for his friends and allies.
This is the abridged version of a senator that really defines Republican corruption.

Rep Jerry Lewis:
Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-CA), the ranking member of the House Appropriations Committee (and former chairman), is under investigation for earmarking millions of dollars in public funds for individuals who donated heavily to his political action committee. In 2006, Los Angeles federal prosecutors were in the middle of a wide-ranging prosecution into Lewis. Due to a ban put on the U.S. Attorneys' offices by Alberto Gonzales, the federal criminal investigation has stalled due to a lack of funds, according to former prosecutors. "The lead prosecutor on the inquiry and other lawyers departed the office." Lewis recently announced that , he'll seek a 16th term putting to rest speculation that he would retire amid the ongoing probe.
Always remember the Bush Administration is up to more than most people realize. The Attorney firings were not simply about power, it was protecting Republicans and attacking Democrats. It was to use OUR institutions created to protect us, to just serve Republican ends.

Rep. Tom Feeney:
Another congressman, Rep. Tom Feeney (R-FL), was recently questioned by the FBI"about his dealings with Jack Abramoff as part of its ongoing investigation into the lobbyist convicted of defrauding clients." Abramoff paid for Feeney's lavish 2003 trip to Scotland. Ironically, when Doolittle stepped down from his seat on the appropriations committee due to the Abramoff investigation, conservatives replaced him with Feeney.
Because Republicans have no one else, all their officials these days have the stain of corruption, its just a matter of time before they get caught.
